For Employees Remember that it is YOUR responsibility to keep current on your training hours/CEUs. A good way to always have enough is to plan for 1 to 2 hours (.1-.2 CEUs) per month.

Montessori Training is available locally at Maitland Montessori. Training Program Directors are Mrs. Adele Fondo and Mrs. Muriel Owens. Both are excellent teachers and mentors., and the classes are entertaining and fun. Certification is offered for two levels:
Pre-primary (Ages 2 1/2 - 6 years)
Early Elementary (Ages 6 - 9 years)

The Teacher Education and Compensation Helps (T.E.A.C.H.) Teacher Duty Day
Teacher Duty Day is fast approaching! This year it is scheduled for
Friday, August 19
Are you ready? Be prepared to work your regular number of hours that day. As usual, lunch will be provided...look for the the take-out order form to be passed around the week before TDD. We will have our monthly Staff Meeting during lunch.
Discovering the Joy Conference
When: Saturday, September 24, 2011 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Where: Flagler Palm Coast High School
Key Note Presentation:
"Through the Eyes of a Child" by Ron Mohl and Lois Wachtel
Presentation topics include Fun Science, Beyond Cribs and Rattles, Social Emotional, Process Art, Expanding Storytelling in the Classroom, Literacy and Technology, Computer Skills for Administrators, Autism and more! Vendors and exhibitors will also be available throughout the day.
Conference fees are paid by the school. In addition to earning .5 CEUs for attending, participants get lunch, a tote bag and the chance to win fun prizes!
